Junckers Portable Courts Featured At FIBA Basketball World Cup

Junckers (Denmark) supplied customized portable basketball courts for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, held Aug. 25–Sept. 10.

The project included five beech courts in the hosting cities of Manila, Philippines; Okinawa, Japan; and Jakarta, Indonesia. Junckers had at least one floor technician and commercial manager present at each of the five arenas during the tournament, wherein Germany emerged the victor.

“The success of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 has been a thrilling experience for our company, and we feel our partnership with FIBA continues to flourish as we provide international players with top-of-the-line basketball courts,” Junckers CEO Lars Gjodsbol said in a statement.

Junckers will also provide the flooring for the Olympic Basketball Tournament in 2024.
